The short answer is: Clarified Butter. See also, yum!
On the Whole 30 eating plan dairy products are a no-go, but you can still get your buttery fix with ghee.
To make your own you'll need:
1 lb Butter
Glass Casserole Dish
Fine Strainer
Cheesecloth
Storage Container
Place your unwrapped butter in the casserole dish. Put dish in 250 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. The milk will separate in 2 ways. Scrape the milk off the top of the ghee and discard. Slowly, and carefully, pour the gold liquid (or liquid gold) through a cheesecloth lined strainer and into your storage container. Discard the milk at the bottom.
You can store your ghee at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
Go forth, and enjoy your Ghee!
